Liverpool Confirm Signing of Milner

Milner will be a Liverpool player next season, the Anfield club revealed:
David McDonnell of the Daily Mirror wrote on May 18 that Liverpool would be willing to offer Milner £100,000 a week to complete a move to Merseyside, the same salary potential club-mate Jordan Henderson now earns after penning a five-year extension earlier in 2015.
Milner will now be able to focus on his forthcoming England commitments after securing the move.
Roy Hodgson's men take on the Republic of Ireland in a friendly on June 7 before travelling to face Slovenia for their next Euro 2016 qualifier on June 14, with Milner in the frame to feature in both matches.
Milner moved to the Etihad in 2010 and was offered an "incentive-based contract worth up to £165,000 a week" to remain with City, per McDonnell, but the playmaker wanted assurances over first-team football.
It's clear the former Newcastle United and Aston Villa star had his admirers, but it is Liverpool who have won the chase for his signature.
